The University of Nebraska Medical Center logo is a distinctive visual representation of our role as a leader in the world of medical education, discovery and health care.
Acronym Logo
The acronym logo is the primary logo for all UNMC applications, and should be used for all local branding. It is preferred that the tagline is used with the logo, whenever possible and appropriate.
Full Name Logo
This is the alternate mark with “University of Nebraska Medical Center” spelled out. This is used for applications that are presented outside our local market. Spelling out the full name offers greater brand recognition for an extended reach.
Emblem
The emblem represents both UNMC and Nebraska Medicine. Only use the emblem alone when referring to both entities, or when one entity is clearly identified in close proximity.
Wordmark
UNMC is a proud brand within the University of Nebraska educational system. The wordmark should be used in addition to the logo on all printed and digital materials. The wordmark should appear once on the back cover of printed materials, closing slide of PowerPoint presentations, conclusions of videos, etc. However, it should never be placed directly beside the UNMC primary logo. Wordmark & Emblem
The wordmark and campus emblem can be used together when materials do not allow sufficient room for the wordmark and emblem to exist separately.

Partnerships
Partnership logos are available to represent the formal collaboration between UNMC and Nebraska Medicine. These logos combine the emblem with the names of both organizations and are intended for use in materials that reflect their shared partnership.
Clear Space
Our logo should never be lost in advertising print materials. It should not be crowded against other elements on the page. A minimum clear space must be maintained around the logo at all times, equal to 1/2 the height of the “Emblem” to ensure its visibility and protect its integrity. This clean space differentiates the logo from other graphic elements such as text, images and graphics.

Emblem
UNMC Emblem
The UNMC logo is an emblem that bears three parallelograms that represent Education, Discovery and Health Care. The parallelograms form a letter “N” for Nebraska. The upper edges of the N come to points on the left, indicating a continuous movement forward.
Emblem/Logo Relationship
The emblem is shared by the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine brands and is the unifying core of each brand.
Emblem Color Use
Red is the preferred color for the emblem and should be used in most applications. In some cases when the red emblem will not work on a dark background, the emblem can be reversed to white, preferably on a solid red background. Do not use a black emblem on a red background.
